Welcome to the Starfield magazine locations guide. This guide will show where to find 25 of the magazines spread throughout the galaxy in Starfield at launch. You will only need to collect 20 magazines for the Thirst for Knowledge achievement.
Refer to the Starfield Achievements Guide for details on the other achievements and trophies in the game.
Alpha Centauri Magazines
Constellation Guide 01
Location: Alpha Centauri – Jemison – The Lodge
This should be the first magazine you find during your playthrough. It is sitting on the counter near the display for the artifact pieces.
Nova Galactic Manual 03
Location: Alpha Centauri – Jemison – MAST District – Office of Interstellar Affairs
Take the elevator in the MAST building to the top floor, Cabinet Chambers / Interstellar Affairs. After exiting the elevator, make a U-turn left and enter the Office of Interstellar Affairs. Inside, stay to the right and find the magazine on a small table in the back office.
The New Atlantian 05
Location: Alpha Centauri – Jemison – The Well – Kay’s House Restaurant
This magazine is located upstairs from Kay’s House restaurant in The Well district on Jemison.
Cyber Runner’s Cypher 02
Location: Alpha Centauri – Jemison – The Well – Apex Electronics
This magazine is found just inside Apex Electronics inside The Well district.
Cyber Runner’s Cypher 05
Location: Alpha Centauri – Jemison – New Atlantis – Infinity Limited HQ
This magazine is next to the Neuroamp Prototype mission objective during the Ryujin Industries faction mission, Sabotage.
Peak Performance 01
Location: Alpha Centauri – Jemison – The Eye Space Station
This magazine is located on the eye. Once docked, head down the hall of the right labeled “Facilities F01” and find it in the first room on the right.

Nova Galactic Manual 01
Location: Cassiopeia – Cassiopeia I – Sarah’s Old Campsite
This area is available during Sarah’s companion mission In Memoriam and is located inside her crashed ship at her old campsite.
Constellation Guide 03
Location: Cassiopeia – Cassiopeia I – The Shuttle Crash Site
This area is available during Sarah’s companion mission In Memoriam and is inside the small dwelling where Sona is living.
Cheyenne Magazines
Gunslinger’s Guide 01
Location: Cheyenne – Akila – Akila City – The Rock
This magazine is sitting on a small table just outside Daniel Blake’s office at the top of The Rock in Akila City. You will frequently visit this location during the Freestar Rangers faction missions.
Solomon’s Adventure 01
Location: Cheyenne – Akila – Akila City – Coe Estate
Just behind The Rock and to the right, you will find the Coe Estate where you met Coe’s father. This magazine is in the bedroom on the left.
Freestar Captain’s Log 03
Location: Cheyenne – Akila – Akila City – Freestar Collective Consulate
Just to the left of The Rock and up the stairs is the Freestar Collective Consulate. This magazine is sitting on a round table in the back room.
Gunslinger’s Guide 02
Location: Cheyenne – Akila – Akila City – Sinclair’s Books
Take the road to the left of The Rock and follow it back to Sinclair’s Books. The magazine is on a table inside on the right.
Va’Ruun Scripture 03
Location: Cheyenne – Akila – Akila City – Broken Down House
From Sinclair’s Books, head down the stairs to the left of the building and turn right at the bottom. The 3rd building on the right is a broken down house with the magazine inside.
Indium Magazines
Trackers Primer 02
Location: Indium – Indium II – Pilgrim’s Rest – Pilgrim’s Room
During the main mission, Unity, use the computer to access the pilgrim’s room. Inside you will find the magazine.
Kryx Magazines
Peak Performance 05
Location: Kryx – Suvrov – The Key Space Station – Gym
You will frequent this location during the Crimson Fleet faction missions. This magazine is found inside the Gym next to Shinya.
Grunt Issue 04
Location: Kryx – Suvrov – The Key Space Station – The Last Nova Bar
This magazine is found inside The Last Nova bar just to the right and behind Shinya.
Murphrid Magazines
Mining Monthly Issue 08
Location: Murphrid – Murphrid VI-D – Abandoned Mine
From the start of the mine, head down the stairway in the first room on the left and out the door. Then, turn right as you are walking down the ramp outside the building and follow it to another small structure in the cave on the right. Inside you will find the magazine sitting on a counter against the right wall.

Constellation Guide 04
Location: Narion – Deepala – The Clinic Space Station
This magazine is sitting on a small table in the waiting room just as you enter The Clinic.
Sol Magazines
Mining Monthly Issue 07
Location: Sol – Mars – Cydonia – Residential – Deimos Miner Quarters
Head to the residential area in Cydonia and find this magazine inside a room labeled “Deimos Miner Quarters”.
UC Defense Manual 03
Location: Sol – Mars – Cydonia – Residential – UC Marine Barracks
This magazine is located on a large table just inside the UC Marine Barracks in the residential district of Cydonia.
Mining Monthly Issue 09
Location: Sol – Titan – New Homestead – Mine
Head into the mine inside New Homestead. Once you see the local miners, immediately turn right to find this magazine sitting on top of a large spool of cable in the dark.
Tau Ceti Magazines
The New Atlantian 01
Location: Tau Ceti – Tau Ceti II – Tau Gourmet Production Center
During the UC Vanguard faction mission, Grunt Work, you will investigate the settlement on Tau Ceti II. Inside the Tau Gourmet Production Center, you will find this magazine on a table against the right wall.
Volli Magazines
Gunslinger’s Guide 04
Location: Volii – Volii Alpha – Neon Core – Freestar Rangers
From the main strip in Neon, head inside the Freestar Rangers building and go upstairs to find this magazine sitting on a nightstand.
Neon Nights 02
Location: Volii – Volii Alpha – Neon Core – Astral Lounge – VIP Balcony
Use the elevator in the Astral Lounge to head up to the VIP Balcony. From there, turn right and the magazine is on a small table inside the first room on the right.
Neon Nights 01
Location: Volii – Volii Alpha – Neon Core – Ryujin Industries – Executive Offices
This magazine can be found in the office to the left of Dalton’s on the top floor with the executive offices in Ryujin Industries. You will frequently visit this area during the Ryujin Industries faction missions.
