I worked in the video game industry for 22 years, primarily on AAA games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms before retiring in 2022. I started out as a programmer and quickly moved into the role of Technical Director. Throughout my career, I shipped over 30 games. Yes, that’s more than 1 per year on average. During the last half of my career, I was over the tech of multiple titles in development at the same time with external studios.
As an avid gamer myself, I built this site to cover the games I will continue playing. It will include achievement/trophy guides, general tips, and insights into why game companies make certain choices. Occasionally, I will share insights on how games are made and what the industry is really like from the inside.
When it comes to game guides on YouTube, I can’t stand videos that show unedited raw footage and waste my time. All game guides posted will be as short as possible to show you how to earn achievements/trophies, gather collectibles, complete puzzles, defeat bosses, or accomplish ambiguous tasks. Boss guides are step-by-step guides highlighting moves to watch for and how to counter or avoid them.
