Welcome to the Resident Evil 4 Chapter 8 Collectibles guide for the 2023 remake. This guide will walk you through where to find all 6 treasures and the clockwork castellan in Chapter 8 while navigating the Castle. During your first playthrough, make sure you trade with the merchant for each region’s map to simplify gathering treasures.
This guide shows the treasures found in the base game and does not include the extra treasures unlocked with the Deluxe Edition of the game. Those treasures are always shown on the map and are either found in chests or in lanterns hanging from trees/ceilings.

Wine Cellar
Mirror with Pearls & Rubies
Open the chest on the far side of the Wine Cellar behind the red-robed enemy.
Bindery
Extravagant Clock
Open the chest next to the fireplace in the Bindery.
Small Key
Before moving the bookshelf in the hall after the Bindery, the small key is sitting on a book on the left side.
Brass Pocket Watch
Return to the Bindery to open the locked drawer of the cabinet.
Castle Battlements
Ornate Necklace
While working your way through the battlements and after climbing a pile of debris, drop down the next hole to find the treasure nearby. Make sure the switch is set to night to ensure the door is open after dropping down.
Emerald
After the cutscene with the giant on top of the towers, jump off the tower’s right/west side and climb the ladder to the top of the next tower. The chest is in the middle of the top of the tower.
Clockwork Castellan 8/16
On the same tower as the emerald, head around the tower clockwise to find the clockwork castellan.
Ruby
Shortly after passing over the 2nd tower, drop down to the lowest level and backtrack to the basement of the 2nd tower. Then, shoot the silver lantern on the ceiling for the treasure.
