Welcome to the Resident Evil 4 Chapter 4 Collectibles guide for the 2023 remake. This guide will walk you through where to find all 13 treasures and the clockwork castellan in Chapter 4 while navigating the Village. During your first playthrough, make sure you trade with the merchant for each region’s map to simplify gathering treasures.
This guide shows the treasures found in the base game and does not include the extra treasures unlocked with the Deluxe Edition of the game. Those treasures are always shown on the map and are either found in chests or in lanterns hanging from trees/ceilings.

Mural Cave
Old Wayshrine Key
Just after leaving the Mural Cave, open the box on the right before getting in the boat.
Shipwreck
Alexandrite
Travel to the shipwreck in the middle of the lake and find this treasure in the cabin.
Red9 Handgun
Exit out the north door of the cabin in the middle of the lake and open the chest of the left side for this handgun.
Chicken Farm
Velvet Blue
Head to the east side of the lake to find a small dock with a chicken farm. The treasure is in the north corner of the farm.
Small Cave Shrine
Hexagon Piece C
Travel to a small tunnel/cave in the northeast corner of the lake. Then, open the chest in the room with the Blasphemer’s Head for this puzzle piece.
Ruby
After collecting the Hexagon Piece C, climb the ladder and destroy the silver lantern at the top.
Lakeside Settlement
Pearl Bangle
Take the boat to the Lakeside Settlement and find the wayshrine on the north side of the house. Use the Old Wayshrine Key to access the treasure.
Small Key
Use the Insignia Key on the gate in the north side of the Lakeside Settlement. Follow the path to the right and up the ladder. The small key is sitting on the back of the cart at the top of the ladder.
Clockwork Castellan 4/16
Right next to the small key is a fence on the north side. Look through the fence and shoot the clockwork castellan.
Gold Bar
Enter the house on the east of the Lakeside Settlement and open the desk drawer for the treasure.
Red Gemstone Ring
Head to the back of the house on the east of the Lakeside Settlement and find the ring in the basement.
Dock Near Fish Farm
Depraved Idol
Head down the west coast of the lake to the area just outside the Fish Farm. Insert the 3 Hexagon Pieces into the pedestal. If you’re playing on Assisted or Standard, rotate the left side once and the top once to solve the puzzle. However, if you’re playing on Hardcore or Professional, rotate the right side twice, left side twice, and top once.
Tunnel Southwest of the Lake
Splendid Bangle
Take the tunnel just north of the Fish Farm on the west side of the lake. When you reach the opening, use the Old Wayshrine Key on the wayshrine for the treasure.
Alexandrite
Just after accessing the wayshrine, look up and shoot the silver lantern hanging high above.
Large Cave Shrine
Velvet Blue
After climbing the ladder on the way to the Apostate’s Head, shoot the silver lantern to the left of the bridge.
Quarry
Butterfly Lamp
On the way back to the Church and just before reaching the Quarry, use the Old Wayshrine Key on the wayshrine.
Church
Small Key
After entering the church, head to the right of the pulpit to find the key.
Yellow Diamond
Return to the save room on the side of the Church to unlock the desk drawer for the diamond.
