Welcome to the Dragon’s Dogma 2 achievements and trophies guide covering all 55 achievements/trophies in the game at launch.
Game Stats
- Difficulty: 4.5/10
- Time to Completion: 60-80 hours
- Does Difficulty Affect Achievements/Trophies?: No. There are no difficulty options.
- Missable Achievements/Trophies: Yes, there is a point late in the main quests where you will leave the area. Make sure you complete all side achievements/trophies before then. Any missed achievements can be earned in New Game+.
- Bugged Achievements/Trophies: It may appear that there is a bug late in the game when you stop dealing damage. Refer to the Dealing No Damage Bug Fix Guide for the solution. It’s not a bug, but a subtle change the game makes.
General Tips
Important: Remember where you find your 1st Seeker Token. You will need to return there during the Sphynx riddles.
Warning: Do all cleanup before you complete the main quest, A New Godsway.
- Sheathe (LT/L2) your weapons before entering settlements.
- Pawns
- Give your main pawn the Mage (healing) or Fighter (tanking) vocation in the early part of the game.
- Keep 2 additional pawns in your party to balance the party mechanics, and offset the vocations you and your main pawn are leveling.
- If you’re interested in using my pawn to help guide you through quests, her Pawn ID is 4CM1X6Y5UVW4.
- Resting
- Rest at inns to create an additional save point that you can partly control outside of the random automated saves.
- Setup camps in the wilderness to heal and cook food for buffs.
- Before resting at an inn, check the eyes of all your active pawns. If any of them have glowing red eyes, they have Dragonsplague, so you need to replace them. If it is your main pawn, toss them into deep water to reset them.
- Carrying Capacity
- Use the gold beetles found on the sides of trees to increase your max carrying capacity. They are easier to spot at night.
- Set your main vocation to Fighter until you unlock the Thew augment to increase carrying capacity.
- Items
- Store upgrade materials when you stop by inns, and don’t sell them in case you need them later.
- Use Ferrystones sparingly to fast travel back to Port Crystals. Ideally, you will want 8-10 Ferrystones for the endgame.
- Save around 5 Wakestones for the endgame.

The Guardian
30G – Led the people to safety in the unmoored world.
Help the leaders of the major settlements evacuate to the Seafloor Shrine. See The Hero above for details.
Closure
30G – Experienced the end of the cycle.
Once you are down to just Closure and The True Arisen, go ahead and interact with the final red beam in the Seafloor Shrine. During the credits, you will end up on the back of the large dragon. You need to take control and work your way toward the glowing spot near its head. So, be ready to take control. As you approach its midsection, crystals will start popping out of its scales and you will get knocked onto the left wing.
Traverse the wing while watching for the head. When it spews fire, hide behind part of the wing structure to avoid catching fire. After you make it to the spot, the final cutscene will play.

Trickster of the Trade
10G – Changed your vocation to Trickster.
Go to the Reverent Shrine in the desert area and talk to the projection of Luz inside to unlock the Trickster vocation. Then purchase and activate it at a vocation guild to pop the achievement or trophy. If you climb the ladder on the left side of the shrine and make your way above the entry, you will find the real Luz and she will give you the Maister skill for Trickster.
Arrows and Incantations
10G – Changed your vocation to Magick Archer.
When you initially arrive on the island in the south, you will meet a dwarf with a bad back in the middle of the road. Offer to help him on the road and again at his house. If you do so, you will escort him to the hot springs in the Volcanic Island Camp. Once he goes into the springs, his wife will appear and unlock the Magick Archer vocation. She will also grant you the Magick Archer maister ability.
Jack of All Trades, Master of…All Trades
10G – Changed your vocation to Warfarer.
When you reach the Volcanic Island Camp, head toward the hot springs in the south end of the camp and speak with Lamond sitting outside the springs. He will ask for 3x Newt Liquors. Travel back to Bakbattahl and put your Beastren Mask on just outside Higgs’s Tavern Stand. Pickup a sack and move it to the inside of the small fenced in area. You will then be invited into the shop. Purchase 2-3 liquors (depending on if you found any earlier). Take them back to Lamond to unlock the Warfarer vocation and receive the maister ability.

Creature Achievements
Harpy
Harpy Joyride
10G – Summoned a Harpy, grabbed hold, and took flight.
When you see a collection of harpies in the wild, tell your pawns to wait (D-Pad Right) far away. Get near their location and use a Harpysnare Smoke Beacon. Back away from the beacon and wait for a harpy to fly near it. Then, jump up and grab (RT/R2) the harpy. Wait until the achievement/trophy unlocks before letting go.
Cyclops
Cyclops Abridged
15G – Crossed a Cyclopean bridge.
Occasionally a cyclops will spawn next to a small gorge without a bridge. When this happens, the cyclops will stretch itself across the gap, forming a temporary bridge. Once this happens, quickly cross over the cyclops to unlock the achievement or trophy. If you wait too long, the cyclops will pull itself up on the other side of the gap.
Travel to the following location and get the attention of the Cyclops. Next, run to the broken bridge and jump across the gap. Keep baiting the creature and it will make a bridge to try reaching you. As soon as the bridge is created, cross the bridge and the achievement/trophy will pop. This is easier to do if you don’t have pawns with you. If there are NPCs fighting the cyclops, throw them over the edge.
Griffin
Medusa
Off with Its Head!
15G – Decapitated a Medusa.
While fighting Medusa in the forest cave southwest of Bakbattahl, use a melee vocation to climb on her and cut her head off. See An Eye for an Eye below for details.
Getting a Head
30G – Acquired a preserved Medusa head.
While fighting Medusa in the forest cave southwest of Bakbattahl, use a melee vocation to climb on her and cut her head off quickly. See An Eye for an Eye below for details.
An Eye for an Eye
30G – Petrified a Medusa.
Make sure you have a melee vocation like Thief active, and place a Port Crystal in the city of Bakbattahl. Next, travel to a cave inside the forest to the southwest of Bakbattahl. Once inside, immediately climb up to Medusa’s head and attack it relentlessly. Eventually, the head will fall off and Medusa will die. If you take the head off during or shortly after the 1st health bar, the dropped head will be preserved. Pick it up and fast travel back to Bakbattahl. Store the preserved head in the inn and rest for 1 night to create a save point. Then, sit on the bench outside the inn for a total of 13 days. If you lose count, just add another day.
Once 2 weeks have passed, grab the head from storage and run back to Medusa’s cave. Equip the head and brandish it (LB/L1 + D-Pad Right). Hold the head until Medusa turns to stone and the achievement or trophy unlocks. After that, feel free to quit to the main menu without saving and load your last inn save. The head can now be used another time.

Headless Horseman
Before Dawn Breaks
15G – Defeated the Headless Horseman.
You may encounter the Headless Horseman at random while exploring at night during your playthrough, but you can force an encounter. While progressing the story, you will hear a rumor in Vernworth. Speak to Margit just outside the Watchead’s Home in Vernworth. She will start you on the quest, Till Death Do Us Part. From there, travel to Illdoers’ Resting Place in the middle of the Misty Marshes and defeat the Headless Horseman.

Exploration Achievements
Myrmecoleon Delights
10G – Entered the Rose Chateau.
Enter the Rose Chateau in the southwest corner of the Noble Quarters in Vernworth. This will unlock naturally while you work on the main quest, The Stolen Throne.
This’ll Cure What Ails Ye
10G – Soaked in the hot spring.
After reaching the island in the south, work your way to the Volcanic Island Camp and head up the ladder on the south end of the camp. Then, pay 100 gold to gain access to the spring, unlocking the achievement or trophy.
The Tourist
10G – Discovered 50 locations.
Only caves and dungeons count toward the 50 locations needed for this achievement or trophy. You won’t need to fully explore the locations, but you do need to enter each until you see the location name show up on the UI.
Collection Achievements
The Barbecue-Maister
10G – Grilled every type of meat during the night and day.
Grill 8 types of meat during the day and at night in your campsites. Meat falls into 2 categories: Scrag of Beast and Beast-Steak. The longer you have raw meat on you, the more it will age until it becomes aged (1-2 days) or rotten (3+ days). While meat is aged, it can be combined together to create dried variants.
- Scrag of Beast
- Aged Scrag of Beast
- Dried Meat
- Rotten Scrag of Beast
- Aged Scrag of Beast
- Beast-Steak
- Aged Beast-Steak
- Exquisite Dried Meat
- Rotten Beast-Steak
- Aged Beast-Steak
The Collector
15G – Collected 80 Seeker’s Tokens.
As you explore the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2, you will notice tall statues. Each statue points in the direction of a Seeker’s Token. They are typically found on high ledges, rooftops, hidden in grass/water, or behind objects. Collect 80 of the 200+ scattered throughout the world to unlock this achievement or trophy. If a pawn spots a token, they will say something about it catching the light and mark the mini map with an “!“. Seeker Tokens are easier to find at night since they will glow with a small effect emanating from them.
Conditional Achievements
An In-Tents Adventure
10G – Went camping.
After acquiring a Modest Camping Kit, look for a fire pit in the wilderness and setup camp to unlock the achievement or trophy. While in camp, you can grill meat for bonus stats.
Fast Travel
One Speed Only
10G – Boarded an oxcart.
While in a major city, climb in the back of an ox cart in the morning and pay the fee to travel to its destination. After paying the fee, you may press Y/Triangle to go to sleep and skip the bulk of the trip. If you arrive at the ox cart at the wrong time of day, hold B/Circle at the waiting bench next to the cart to pass the time until it is ready to depart.
Just a Stone’s Throw Away
10G – Used a Ferrystone.
When you reach Vernworth, make sure you activate the Port Crystal just to the south of the town square. Then, you can fast travel back to the town by using a Ferrystone while exploring. Keep in mind that these stones are limited as rewards and are expensive to purchase, so only do so when you need to travel great distances.
Pawns
Wish upon the Rift
10G – Set a Pawn quest.
After resting at an inn for the 2nd time, your pawn may return from the rift. When this happens, you can set a new pawn quest by selecting the goal and offering a reward. Once the quest is set, the achievement or trophy will unlock.
A Pawn of Many Talents
10G – Taught your Pawn a specialization.
After completing side quests for some NPCs, they will meet up with you a few days later and hand you a bonus reward which may be a tome that teaches your pawn a specialization. Use the scroll (Hawker’s Tome, Chirurgeon’s Tome, etc.) to activate the specialization and unlock the achievement or trophy.
A Badge of Honor
10G – Acquired a pawn badge.
Pawn badges are earned by killing a set number of creatures or by camping in the same region multiple times. Wait until you are near the end of the game, and see which badge you are closest to completing. Then focus on defeating the creature type or camping between 2 different campsites.
Quit Playing Dead
10G – Revived two Pawns simultaneously.
You can quickly setup the conditions for this at the following location. Make sure you don’t have a healer or the healer drops when the bridge is destroyed. Head down the ravine and clear out the enemies below the bridge and around it. Next, stand in the middle of the bridge and beckon your pawns to come to you with D-Pad Down. Once they are in the middle of the bridge, tell them to wait with D-Pad Right. Then, get off the bridge and destroy it. The pawns should all drop and take a large amount of damage. If you don’t have 2 downed, have them follow you back to the top, then pick up (RT/R2) and throw (RB/R1) them to the same location. The bodies need to be near each other. Go down and hold B/Circle to revive 2 at the same time.
NPCs
The Savior
10G – Used a Wakestone to restore the dead to life.
While exploring the world or during a quest, a NPC may die. If this happens, approach the body and press B/Circle to use a Wakestone to raise them from the dead. This is easily done during the side quest, Trouble on the Cape, in Have Village. You will locate a severely injured villager inside the cave. If you carry him and drop a few feet, he will die and you can quickly raise him.
Thought I’d Lost You
10G – Restored the dead to life at a morgue or charnel house.
After an NPC dies, they will show up in the closest morgue or charnel house in a coffin. Approach a coffin and press B/Circle to examine the coffin and press A/X to confirm using a Wakestone to raise them.
It’s recommended that if you’re raising someone just for the achievement/trophy, rest in an inn just before you raise them. That way, you can reload your inn save and get the Wakestone back. You can intentionally kill someone in a city, rest for a day, and then raise them if you need to. Some NPCs will die during the Phantom Oxcart side quest in Bakbattahl, so you can wait to do this achievement/trophy after that portion of the quest.
Reaper’s Scorn
30G – Accomplished a miracle for several people all at once.
Before completing all the 10th riddle from the Sphynx, make sure you change to the Archer vocation. After completing the final riddle, the Sphynx will start to fly away. Immediately start attacking with the X/Square button to officially start a fight. Wait until you have a clear shot, then equip the Unmaking Arrow (reward from the riddles), aim with RB/R1, and use it to defeat the creature. Doing so will reward you with the key to open the final chest containing the Eternal Wakestone.
If you have a morgue with 2+ bodies, stand outside it and use the stone. Otherwise, travel to the market on the west side of Bakbattahl. Next, grab (RT/R2) 2 citizens and throw them off the side of the broken bridge. Once you confirm they’re dead, head down to their bodies and use the Eternal Wakestone to raise them for the achievement/trophy.
Refer to the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sphynx Riddles Guide for a full walkthrough of all 10 riddles and how to resurrect multiple NPCs.
Affinity and Beyond
10G – Raised a person’s affinity to the maximum.
Work through all quests available for specific NPCs to raise their affinity with you. This should unlock naturally while you play the game. When you get to Vernworth, look for Glyndwr standing near the blacksmith. Complete all of his quests, including a final one where he meets you at your home and the achievement/trophy will unlock.
The Philanthropist
10G – Earned the affections of 50 people.
Save this achievement/trophy till you are near the end of the game. Then, go to Vernworth and rest in an inn or your house until night. Head over to The Stardrop Inn (town square) and Walter’s Tavern (slums) and buy a round of drinks. Use the bench on the balcony of The Stardrop Inn to pass the time until the next night. Repeat the process about 7 times.
Now, go around town and start handing every non-guard you see a Wyrmslife Crystal. You should have a stack of these from killing dragons while exploring. The achievement or trophy should quickly pop. Once it does, quit to the Title Screen and reload your inn save.
Plenty Arisen to Go Round
10G – Witnessed a brawl break out in your dwelling among your admirers.
Save this achievement/trophy till you are near the end of the game. Travel to Vernworth after you have purchased the house and rest in the house until morning to create a save point. Go into the town square and choose 3-4 citizens (not guards or vendors) to give a Wyrmslife Crystal. Remember what they look like and what there names are.
Next, go to The Stardrop Inn and rest on the bench until the next day. Give the gifts to the same citizens. You should notice their cheeks turning red, and they may start to follow you around. If you have 2 followers, head over to your house. If you only have 1 follower, pickup (RT/R2) someone who is blushing and take them to your home. Once you arrive, go inside and the admirers should start brawling. After the achievement or trophy pops, quit to the Title Screen and reload you inn save.
Refer to the Plenty Arisen to Go Round Guide for additional details.
Side Quests
A House? In This Economy?
10G – Purchased a dwelling of your own.
While progressing the story in Vernworth, explore the east side of the outer ring of the city just outside the town square. Mildred may stop you and ask you to house sit for her for a week (A Place to Call Home). Agree to help out and return to the house after she returns where you may purchase it for 20k gold.

Are We There Yet?
10G – Boarded the phantom oxcart.
After progressing the story in Bakbattahl, return to Vernworth and you will hear a rumor that starts The Phantom Oxcart quest. Follow the questline until you need to sneak onto the cart. At that point, remove your weapons and armor before speaking with the driver. Once you enter the cart, the achievement or trophy will unlock.
Full Marks
90G – Found a solution to every conundrum posed by the goddess of riddles.
Important: Remember where you find your 1st Seeker Token. You will need to return there during the riddles.
Successfully complete all 10 riddles of the Sphynx. The Sphynx is initially found in the Mountain Shrine which is accessible through the Ancient Battleground north of Checkpoint Rest Town.
Refer to the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sphynx Riddles Guide for a full walkthrough of all 10 riddles and how to resurrect multiple NPCs.
Misc.
To the Victor Go the Spoils
10G – Reclaimed your items from the scavenger who stole them from you.
Scavengers can be found in the rock village just before entering Drabnir’s Grotto in the far south of the desert area. If something is stolen from you, a message will pop up telling you what was stolen. You can either kill them and take the item back, or steal it back if you are playing a thief.

I’m In
15G – Used illicit means to pass through the gate at the border.
This can be earned along with Across the Border. Crossing into the desert area through another path will not count toward the achievement/trophy. You need to pass through the gate without permission.
Travel to Checkpoint Rest Town and rest in the inn to create a save point. Next, wait in the town for a stagecoach that arrives at night by sitting on the bench in the tavern below the inn and dozing off. When the coach reaches gate, enter the stagecoach and let it take you through the gate. After the achievements/trophies pop, feel free to reload your save at the inn to take you back to the north side of the gate.

That’s it for the Dragon’s Dogma 2 achievements & trophies guide. Please post any questions or comments below. Thanks.
