Welcome to the Lies of P combine endings on Xbox guide. This guide will walk you through how to earn 2 endings on your 1st playthrough of Lies of P on Xbox. A similar method may be used on PlayStation.
Refer to the Lies of P Achievements & Trophies Guide for details on all achievement/trophies in the game.
Combine Endings on Xbox
Choose a Path
Decide at the beginning of the game if you are going for a lie or truth playthrough and stick with it throughout the game. You don’t need to get every interaction correct for the lie/truth achievements to unlock. Track progress after the first Black Rabbit Brotherhood fight by checking the painting in Geppetto’s room.
You will know you lied when you see an effect around you and a message about your heart or Ergo after the conversation. There are a few conversations where you will see the message regardless. Lies aren’t the only thing that count toward growing your nose on the painting. Intentionally choosing to kill someone will also change its state.
Chapter 3 Choice
Location: Krat City Hall
Lie/Truth (Weeping Woman):
When turning in her quest and the Weeping Woman asks about her baby, you will need to make a choice:
- Lie: That’s a cute baby
- Truth: That’s just a puppet
Chapter 4 Choices
Location: Moonlight Town
Lie/Truth (The Atoned):
When you reach the tram, talk with The Atoned. During the conversation, you will have a choice:
- Lie: Give the Stalker’s greeting
- Truth: Do nothing
Location: St. Frangelico Cathedral Library
Lie/Truth:
After defeating an elite enemy, take the elevator to the roof and talk with Alidoro. During the conversation, you need to make a choice. If you choose to lie, travel to the Workshop Union Entrance and talk to him again upstairs. Then, you can lie again, but he will know the truth and end up back at the hotel.

Chapter 6 Choices
Location: Rosa Isabelle Street Culvert
Lie/Truth (Julian the Gentleman):
Return to Julian by the Stargazer and choose how to respond:
- Lie: I saw the message she left, saying she loves you
- Truth: I’ve never seen that happen before
Location: Hotel Krat
Lie/Truth (Antonia):
As you enter the side room where Antonia is sitting, a conversation will start. During the discussion, make a choice:
- Lie: Of course
- Truth: There is nothing left
Location: Hotel Krat
Lie/Truth (Polendina):
Head outside the hotel to the fountain (just up the 1st stairs) and talk with Polendina. Make a choice based on your playthrough:
- Lie: Show the wedding ring OR I have
- Truth: There’s no such puppet
Chapter 7 Choices
Location: Grand Exhibition Gallery
Lie/Truth (Simon Manus):
While talking with Simon after the Campion Victor fight, you will make another choice:
- Lie: Hope of a cure
- Truth: Monsters
Chapter 8 Choice
Location: Hotel Krat
Lie/Truth (Eugénie):
After giving Alidoro the gloves, return to Eugénie and let her know how it went.
- Lie: He was happy.
- Truth: He was angry. He said the gloves were rubbish.
Chapter 9 Choices
Location: Krat Central Station Street
Lie/Truth (King of Riddles):
Return to the phone after opening the Trinity Sanctum in Krat Central Station Street and make another choice:
- Lie: No
- Truth: Yes
Location: Hotel Krat
Lie/Truth (Belle):
Return to Belle at the hotel after finding her friend and make a choice:
- Lie: He was killed in action fighting a puppet
- Truth: He became a monster
Chapter 10 Choice
Location: Relic of Trismegistus Combat Field
Lie/Truth (Alidoro):
After defeating the Black Rabbit Brotherhood, continue on the main path and talk with Alidoro. Exhaust his conversation to find out what really happened. If you choose to kill him, speaking with Venigni later at the hotel will trigger a lie response on your portrait.
Location: Hotel Krat
Lie/Truth (Venigni):
Talk to Venigni when he plays an audio recording for you and choose during his conversation:
- Lie: I couldn’t hear
- Truth: Geppetto caused…
Chapter 11 Choices
Location: Black Seaside
Lie/Truth (Red Memory):
Interacting with the red memory in the desert will trigger a lie response. If you’re on a truth playthrough, you can interact will all the blue memories, but skip the final memory that is red.
Location: Arche Abbey Outer Wall
Lie/Truth (King of Riddles):
Next, talk with the King of Riddles in the final Trinity Sanctum and make a choice:
- Lie: Human
- Truth: Puppet
Location: Ascension Bridge
Lie/Truth (Sophia):
When you find Sophia, make a choice. Giving her peace is required if you want to unlock The Story of the Blue Butterfly achievement or trophy later on. Both options react to your heart/Ergo, but not killing her doesn’t change the painting.
- Lie: Give her peace
- Truth: Let her live
Location: Arche Abbey Upper Part – Inside
Lie/Truth (Geppetto):
Talk to Geppetto in his cell and make a choice:
- Lie: Yes
- Truth: No
Location: Arche Abbey Cradle of the Gods
Lie/Truth (Simon Manus):
After defeating Simon Manus, you will be given another choice and will need to answer based on what you did with Sophia earlier in the chapter.
Earning 2 Endings
- After defeating Simon Manus, take the elevator down to the next Stargazer
- From the pause menu under Settings, select Exit – Title Screen
- Close the game in the Xbox OS
- Restart the game
- Real Boy
- Talk to Geppetto and choose: “Give the Heart“
- Don’t start New Game+ after the credits roll (B/Circle)
- Pianist of Krat
- At the hotel, interact with the piano near Antonia’s painting for an achievement
- Story of One Father
- Head upstairs and read the letter on Geppetto’s desk for another achievement
- Reset the Save
- After the achievement pops, press the Xbox button
- Select Lies of P
- Press the menu button
- Select Manage Game and addons
- Select Save data
- Choose your save profile
- Select Delete from Console (not Everywhere!)
- Restart the game and you will be back at the last Stargazer before giving the heart to Geppetto
- The First Puppet & Ending 2
- Return to Geppetto and choose: “Refuse“
- Defeat the Nameless Puppet to unlock a 2nd ending
- Don’t start New Game+ after the credits roll (B/Circle)
- The Story of the Blue Butterfly
- If you gave Sophia peace, head upstairs and read the letter on Geppetto’s desk for an achievement
- Special Weapons Collector (lie playthrough only)
- Purchase the last special weapons from Alidoro/Hugo
- Listen to all records during a lie playthrough
- Collect the Golden Lie weapon (sparkles when complete) from the painting in Geppetto’s room

I did exactly what you told here and basically i don’t have any of the correlated achievements. 1st endings. Fml, did they changed anything?
Oh, MB. Its up to date, but it doesn’t seem possible to follow the 2nd steps. Tried several times and don’t show me again before the 1st steps.

First off, thanks for the guide. Just had a quick question though…
After receiving the “give heart” ending and returning to hotel Krat, did you pick up Geppetto’s note, listen to the records and obtain the last special weapon? I’m worried that unlocking these achievements will trigger an auto save thus preventing me from re-loading my earlier save and obtaining the 2nd ending.
The game will auto-save after each major change locally, but the saves will not get pushed to the cloud until you return to the main menu or the game reboots. If you’re following the guide, it will likely save after the give heart ending, after interacting with the letter on the desk, and if you choose to do any additional actions. I chose to minimize the interactions after the 1st ending just in case something went wrong. So, I interacted with the letter on the desk, but I saved the weapons and listening to records for the 2nd ending when I knew the 1st was locked in and I had the save reset to the previous point.
Hopefully, that clarifies things for you. Juggling save resets can be tricky on both Xbox and PS.
Tried to follow it this way on Xbox but the game unfortunately auto saved when it brought me back to the hotel. Will do another 2 playthroughs.
