Welcome to the Forza Motorsport achievements guide covering all 57 achievements in the game at launch.

Forza Motorsport is a reboot of the core Forza franchise and is the first motorsport game since Forza Motorsport 7 which released 5 years ago. This installment in the Forza series launches with over 500 cars and 20 rebuilt tracks. Like other titles in the franchise, expect additional cars and tracks on a monthly cadence along with new events to participate in. During early access, the game was crashing frequently which is not like most Forza titles.

Full disclosure: I worked at Turn 10 Studios for a few years on multiple games in the Forza franchise. However, it has been almost a decade since I left the team.

Game Stats

  • Difficulty: 7/10 (for Featured Multiplayer achievements or 3/10 if you skip MP)
  • Time to Completion: 120-150 hours
  • Does Difficulty Affect Achievements?: Yes. You need to set specific conditions for some achievements.
  • Missable Achievements: No. You can setup any condition needed in the various game modes.
  • Bugged Achievements: No.

General Tips

  • Level each of your primary cars up to Car Level 50.
  • Choose your favorite brand with at least 5 cars and get them to Car Level 50.
  • If you’re going for the community achievements, try to get a design and tune shared early in the game, so it has more time to be used by other players.
  • Many achievements can be easily earned in Free Play with 1 lap and 0 AI drivers.
  • When setting up Free Play races, choose Night and Rain unless an achievement needs something else. You will need 50 laps of each.
  • As soon as a practice lap starts, pause the game and select Exit – Skip Practice to avoid extra laps.

Welcome to Forza

10G – Complete your first race

Automatic career mode achievement and a staple of all Forza games. This will unlock after completing your first race during the prologue/tutorial.

Welcome to Builders Cup

10G – Complete the Builders Cup Intro Series

Automatic career mode achievement. This will unlock after completing the first 3-race series following the first race.

It’s not the car…

30G – Finish in top three of a series with a stock car in Builders Cup

Complete any series in the Builders Cup with a stock car and do not upgrade it throughout the series. When you finish the final race, the achievement will unlock. Try to combine this with Built Not Bought.

Built Not Bought

10G – Complete 1 Series in Career Mode

From the Main Menu, select Race – Career – Builders Cup (RB on the top categories). Next, select a tour from the list and complete the 1st series in the tour consisting of 4-5 races and the achievement will unlock.

Just Getting Started

15G – Complete 1 Tour in Career Mode

Complete 1 tour in the Career Mode. See Legendary Builder for details.

Journeyman Builder

15G – Complete 2 Tours in Career Mode

From the Main Menu, select Race – Career – Builders Cup (RB on the top categories) or Featured. Next, select a tour from the list and complete all 5 series to finish the tour. Repeat the process for 4 tours and the achievement will unlock. The final showcase events are not required for the achievements.

  • Modern Tour – 22 races

Qualifying Laps

Clean Driving

15G – Complete a clean Qualifying lap in Featured Multiplayer

From the Main Menu, select Race – Featured Multiplayer – Introduction (RB on the top categories) – Qualifier Series. Once you’re in the event, select Race – Qualify and drive clean for 1 of your 3 laps (no hazard icon next to your time).

Pole Position

20G – Post the best Qualifying Lap Time in a Featured Multiplayer event

From the Main Menu, select Race – Featured Multiplayer. Once you’re in the event, select Race – Qualify, post the best time, and maintain it until the actual race starts to unlock the achievement.

Progression

In the Big Leagues

10G – Complete your first Featured Multiplayer Event

From the Main Menu, select Race – Featured Multiplayer – Introduction (RB on the top categories) – Qualifier Series. Post a qualifying time, then complete the full race to unlock the achievement.

Racecraft

30G – Gain at least 12 positions in any Multiplayer race

Start a Multiplayer race with 13 cars or more and begin the race in a position at least 13th. Then, work your way through the pack and pass a total of 12 cars to unlock the achievement.

Podium Prodigy

20G – Earn a spot on the podium in Featured Multiplayer

Rank in the top 3 after completing a Featured Multiplayer event to unlock the achievement.

Safety Rating

Safety Star

20G – Hold an S Safety Rating across 5 consecutive Featured Multiplayer events

Hold a S Safety Rating for 5 consecutive Featured Multiplayer events. See Safety Superstar for details.

Safety Superstar

30G – Hold an S Safety Rating across 10 consecutive Featured Multiplayer events

Hold a S Safety Rating for 10 consecutive Featured Multiplayer events. During Featured Multiplayer events, do your best to stay on the track and not be the cause of collisions with other cars to earn and maintain a S rating. Track progress from the Featured Multiplayer menu and press Y to see your friend’s group rating. When you’re not in a group, it reflects your personal rating.

Laps

Contender

20G – Complete 100 laps in Multiplayer

Complete a total of 100 laps in any multiplayer mode. Qualifying and race event laps count toward the achievement, but practice laps will not. A typical Featured event will contain 10 laps (including qualifying), so it this should unlock after 10 Featured Multiplayer events or any number of Private MP events.

Competitor

30G – Complete 300 laps in Multiplayer

Complete a total of 300 laps in any multiplayer mode. Qualifying and race event laps count toward the achievement, but practice laps will not. A typical Featured event will contain 10 laps (including qualifying), so it this should unlock after 30 Featured Multiplayer events or any number of Private MP events.

Rain or Shine

10G – Create and complete a race in the rain in Free Play

From the Main Menu, select Race – Free Play – Quick Event Setup and choose a car. Next, set the following conditions and complete the race to unlock the achievement.

Freedom!

10G – Complete a Quick Race in Free Play

Refer to the game setup for Rain or Shine and both achievements will unlock after finishing the race.

Time Traveler

10G – Win a Timed Race in Free Play

From the Main Menu, select Race – Free Play – Quick Event Setup and choose a car. Next, set the following conditions and complete the race to unlock the achievement.

  • Game Type: Timed Race
  • Track: Indianapolis Motor Speedway
  • Track Layout: The Brickyard Speedway
  • Time of Day: Night
  • Weather: Light Rain
  • Race Timer: 00:30
  • Number of Drivatars: 0

Rivals

New Rival

10G – Post a lap time on any track in Rivals Time Attack

From the Main Menu, select Race – Rivals, choose a car class on the left, and choose a track on the right (Indianapolis Motor Speedway – Indianapolis Brickyard Oval is simple). Next, choose any car from the list where the highest rated are on the left and Rent the car if you don’t own it. The New Rival achievement will unlock as soon as you complete the first lap.

Amateur Rival

15G – Beat 5 Rivals

Beat a total of 5 rivals throughout your playthrough. See Experienced Rival for details.

Enthusiastic Rival

20G – Beat 10 Rivals

Beat a total of 10 rivals throughout your playthrough. See Experienced Rival for details.

Experienced Rival

30G – Beat 20 Rivals

From the Main Menu, select Race – Rivals, choose a car class on the left, and choose a track on the right (Indianapolis Motor Speedway – Indianapolis Brickyard Oval is simple). Next, choose any car from the list where the highest rated are on the left and Rent the car if you don’t own it.

While racing a rival, try to stay just in front of them and don’t get too far ahead. That will ensure you beat them and can safely beat additional rivals in the same car class. After defeating a rival, choose Finish Race and Race Next Rival. When you reach the point where you have posted your best lap for a car class, change classes. Repeat the process until you have beaten a total of 20 rivals.

Express Yourself

5G – Change your Driver Suit

As soon as the first race completes, go ahead and select a new look for your Driver Suit, unlocking this achievement.

Garage

On the House

10G – Receive your first gift car

After selecting your Driver Suit, the game will let you choose your first gift car.

Make it Yours

10G – Buy your first car

Purchase any car from the Cars – Buy Cars menu. At launch, the cheapest cars cost 11k credits each. Choose your preferred manufacturer and aim to level 5 cars from that brand to Car Level 50 for the Brand Ambassador achievement.

Getting Familiar

10G – Reach Car Level 25 in any car

Continue driving the same car in multiple events until it reaches Car Level 25 to unlock this achievement. See Garage Royalty for details.

Pride and Joy

15G – Reach Car Level 50 in any car

Continue driving the same car in multiple events until it reaches Car Level 50 to unlock this achievement. See Garage Royalty for details.

Brand Ambassador

30G – Reach max brand discount by owning 5 level 50 cars from a manufacturer

Reach Car Level 50 with 5 cars from the same manufacturer to unlock this achievement. See Garage Royalty for details.

Aficionado

30G – Reach Car Level 50 in 10 cars

Reach Car Level 50 with 10 cars to unlock this achievement. See Garage Royalty for details.

Garage Royalty

50G – Reach Car Level 50 in 30 cars

Reach Car Level 50 with 30 cars to unlock this achievement. Car Level 50 requires roughly 500 miles driven and will vary depending on the speed of the car and the segment scores achieved on track. It will likely take 3.5-6 hours per car with faster cars leveling in less time.

From the Main Menu, select Race – Free Play – Quick Event Setup and choose a car. Next, set the following conditions if you want to earn this achievement with minimal effort, but keep in mind that the AI will not drive as well as you, so leveling will be slower.

  • Game Type: Timed Race
  • Track: Indianapolis Motor Speedway
  • Track Layout: The Brickyard Speedway
  • Time of Day: Noon (Night if still needed)
  • Weather: Clear (Light Rain if still needed)
  • Race Timer: 14:00 (increase the time if you press a button every 10-14 minutes)
  • Number of Drivatars: 0

Go into Settings – Driving Assists and change the following:

  • Global Assist Preset: Maximum Assists
  • Braking: Partially Assisted
  • Throttle: Assisted

The assists will take over all aspects of driving the race for you and will let you level up cars with minimal effort. However, it will hug the racing line at all costs and refuse to pass cars directly in front on the line which is why using 0 AI drivers will speed this up. Once the race completes, choose Restart Race if the car needs more levels to hit 50. Periodically perform a Quick Upgrade on the car to increase its performance and allow it to complete more track segments in the time limit.

Vehicle Mods & Upgrades

Tinkerer

10G – Make an upgrade to any car

Quick Upgrades do not count toward this achievement. Go into the Performance menu, select a category on the left and an upgrade on the bottom. Then press B to go back to the categories and B again to Finish Upgrading. Unlock the achievement after confirming the changes.

Heart Transplant

15G – Swap an engine in any car

After reaching level 40 with a car, go to Cars – Upgrade & Tune – Level 40+ Car – Performance – Conversion (RB to cycle the menu) – Engine Swap. Then, choose a new engine and apply it to the car.

Body Builder

15G – Apply a Wide Body conversion to any car

After reaching level 45 with a car, go to Cars – Upgrade & Tune – Level 45+ Car – Performance – Conversion (RB to cycle the menu) – Body Kit. Then, choose the Wide Body conversion and apply it to the car.

Designs

My First Art Show

10G – Share one of your Designs

Go into Cars – Design & Paint – Paint Car and make changes to your car’s paintjob. Next, press B to back out and select Save to Design Catalog and Share. Then name the file, and add 2 key words to share the tuning setup.

Influencer

30G – Earn 10,000 credits from the community using your Design

After creating and sharing a design for My First Art Show, if other players download and race with your design, it will accumulate credit rewards for you. The Influencer achievement will unlock once you hit the 10k credits threshold.

Tunes

Race Engineer

10G – Share one of your Tunes

Go into the Tuning menu, select a category from the top, and change one of the parameters in the middle of the screen. Next, press A to apply the changes and the menu button for the Setup Manager. Then choose Save and Share, name the file, and add 2 key words to share the tuning setup.

Setting the Standard

30G – Earn 10,000 credits from the community using your Tune

After creating and sharing a tuning setup for Race Engineer, if other players download and race with your tune, it will accumulate credit rewards for you. The Setting the Standard achievement will unlock once you hit the 10k credits threshold.

Paparazzi

10G – Share a Photo

After completing a race, select View Replay and watch the replay until you come to a segment you want to grab a photo from. Next, click on Photo Mode (far right option) and position the camera where you want it. Then press A to take the photo and choose Save and Share. The achievement unlocks once the file is saved, 2 keywords are added, and the photo is shared.

Highlight Reel

10G – Share a Replay

After completing any race, select Save Replay – Save and Share. Then, name the file to save it locally and add 2 key words to help people search for it with an optional description. Then, click on Share to unlock the achievement.

20G – Maintain a speed of 180mph or higher for 3 seconds

From the Main Menu, select Race – Free Play – Quick Event Setup and choose Buy or Rent Cars. Next, select the 2019 Bugatti Divo and choose to Rent it. Then, set the following conditions and max out your speed on the straight sections of the track to unlock the achievement.

  • Game Type: Circuit Race

25G – Complete 10 races with AI set to the fastest difficulty

From the Main Menu, select Race – Free Play – Quick Event Setup and choose a car. Next, increase the Difficulty of the AI to the max level, set the following conditions, and complete the race. Then, select Restart Race and finish a total of 10 races to unlock the achievement. You do not need AI drivers in the race, you only need to race with the AI set to max.

Strategist

10G – Change your Fuel & Tire setup for the first time

Just before starting a race, select Car – Fuel & Tire and increase the amount of fuel available. Then, press A to finish and unlock the achievement without needing to race.

Running on Fumes

25G – Finish a race with no more than one Fuel Lap left in your car

From the Main Menu, select Race – Free Play – Quick Event Setup and choose any car. Next, set the following conditions. Then select Difficulty and choose Expert Rules and complete the race to unlock the achievement. This achievement can be combined with Strategist and Excellence.

  • Game Type: Circuit Race

25G – Change your tires during a race to use a different tire compound

From the Main Menu, select Race – Free Play – Quick Event Setup and choose a racing car you own or select Buy or Rent Cars to rent one. Then, set the following conditions and change your tire compound in the pit at the end of the first lap to unlock the achievement.
