V Rising Achievements & Trophies Guide

Welcome to the V Rising achievements and trophies guide. This guide covers all 49 achievements available in the base game at launch.

Game Stats

  • Difficulty: 6/10
  • Time to Completion: 40-60 hours
    • 1st Playthrough: 35-50 hours
    • Brutal Playthrough: 5-10 hours
  • Does Difficulty Affect Achievements/Trophies?: Yes. You need to defeat all act main bosses in Brutal difficulty. It’s recommended that you play through the game on an easier difficulty. Then, create a customized server to boost damage output, health, etc. to make Brutal a little easier.
  • Missable Achievements/Trophies: None. Follow the Recommended Playthroughs section for guidance.

Recommended Playthroughs

Start off by playing V Rising on either Relaxed or Normal difficulty. Feel free to adjust the server settings to fit your play style. These can be adjusted between play sessions. During this playthrough earn the bulk of the achievements/trophies with the exception of the 4 that require Brutal difficulty.

Simply changing the difficulty mid-game will not unlock the Brutal achievements/trophies. Create a new game in Brutal difficulty and adjust the server settings. Shorten the length of the daytime, boost damage output and health, reduce crafting costs to 0, and change the starting gear/level to be at max level. Quickly head to the bosses for each of the acts and Dracula. The first 3 act bosses will be a breeze to take down. The 4th boss and Dracula will still be challenging.

General Tips

  • Disable Teleport Bound Items in the server settings. This will allow you to use waygates with most items.
  • Consider shortening Day Time Length to reduce how much you need to avoid the sunlight.
  • Plan to spend day time in your castle doing upgrades.
  • Take out the V Bloods mostly in order. Look ahead to their rewards and determine which rewards will unlock higher gear.
  • Use the wolf form to speed up travel until you unlock horses.
  • Pick up all paper, scrolls, and schematics. These are used for upgrading the research tables and are the longest grind at the end of the game.

This fight is difficult and is significantly easier in a group, but it can be completed solo with practice. It’s recommended you use a level 30 ranged weapon, preferably the pistols for this fight. If you’re lucky, you can craft a legendary version of the pistols for bonus stats.

Blood

A First Taste

Feed from a living creature.

Damage a living enemy until its health is low. Then press X/Square to feed on it, changing your blood type and stats.

Exquisite Blood

Drink blood from a 100% blood quality source.

Look for anyone with 100% blood quality (glowing red) and drink from them. This may also be done by raising a prisoner’s blood quality to 100%.

An Eye for Quality

Successfully charm a human that has 100% blood quality.

Look for a human with 100% blood quality and charm them. Anyone with over 90% quality will glow red. This may take a while to find and is more likely to occur in an area with a large population, like the city in The Forgotten Reaches.

V Rising Achievements & Trophies Guide - An Eye for Quality - 100% Blood Quality

Prisoners

Blood Donor

Extract blood from a prisoner.

First, take out Vincent the Frostbringer (level 44) as he wanders around the Dunley Farmlands. Next, build a prison cell in your castle, dominate a human, and place them in the cell. Make sure you have and empty glass bottle in your inventory. Then, select Blood Potion to extract blood from the prisoner.

A Perfect Test Subject

Feed a prisoner with Irradiant Gruel and have them reach 100% blood quality as a result.

This achievement/trophy will take some time and a lot of patience. Plan a long route through the regions with humans, and travel along the route making sure you check all major settlements. As you explore the settlements, watch for any human that is glowing red. You will want to charm someone who has at least 95% pure blood. 98-99% is preferred. Once the human is charmed, jump on your horse or use a Dusk Caller to bring them to an empty prison cell.

The goal is to use Irradiant Gruel to boost the prisoner’s blood quality to 100%. Unfortunately, each dose of gruel will bump the quality by 1-2%, but it has a 35% chance to fail and turn the prisoner into a mutant. This is why you want to find someone who is 98-99% pure. Be ready for many failures as you try to get the perfect test subject.

You can make this process slightly easier by changing some server settings: floor the Crafting Cost Multiplier and max out the Crafting Rates. This will make creating and using gruel free, so you won’t need to farm countless materials while trying to find the perfect test subject.

Traders

The Allure of Coin

Trade with a Shady Merchant in the Farbane Woods.

Trade with any of the merchants in the Farbane Woods. They will show up on your map when you initially travel near them. Doing so is a good way to unlock research recipes.

Master of Disguise

Trade with a merchant as a very ordinary human.

Take out Bane the Shadowblade (level 50) wandering around the Dunley Farmlands disguised as a human. Next, go to any merchant’s area, hold X and select Human Form. Then, interact with the merchant to unlock the achievement or trophy.

Misc.

Instant Gratification

Teleport using a Vampire Waygate.

Teleport between multiple waygates. This will also unlock if you die and respawn at a nearby waygate.

Oh No!

Eat the wrong mushroom.

Pick and eat a Trippy Mushroom while exploring the world. You can find one in The Gleaming Meadows on the west side of the area. It will look like a group of mushrooms with a slight purple glow.

Riftslayer

Participate in closing a rift to the Shadow Realm.

Defeat all enemies surrounding 3 rift crystals in the Ruins of Mortium. This can be accomplished solo. Defeating the enemies will grant you Stygian Shards and shattered weapons needed for A Weapon From a More Civilized Age.
