Welcome to the Monster Hunter Wilds endgame achievements guide. This guide will walk you through the optimal path to finishing the endgame achievements/trophies in the base game at launch.

Goals
During the endgame, focus on the following achievements/trophies. Track the progress of most of these in your Large Monster Field Guide.
- Miniature crowns from 26 monsters
- Giant gold crowns from 26 monsters
- Hunt 100 monsters
- Capture 50 monsters
- Hunt 50 apex predators
- Hunt 50 tempered monsters
- Collect Rarity 6 special items
- Complete 100 quests with your palico
- Complete 100 quests in multiplayer
- Reach Hunter Rank 100
Optimal Hunt Priorities
Combine goals for achievements/trophies as much as possible. Start the grind by setting the Post/Join Quest Settings to 2 Max Members with Automatic SOS Flare On. Once you have 100 quests finished with your palico, change Max Members to 4. This will allow you to hunt with up to 4 players, speeding up each hunt.
Before farming for crowns, make sure you have completed the 30 side missions achievement/trophy. This will rank you up and net additional materials.
- Always have gear ready to capture monsters that you fight. Doing so will shorten the length of the fight.
- Focus on the crown hunts first. You will likely acquire all tempered hunts in the process.
- Join other player’s quests to hunt apex predators (tempered if still needed).

Endgame Achievements Guide
During the endgame, most of your time will be spent doing a simple loop:
- Scan the map for needed crowns and emergences
- Hunt for crowns in Wounded Hollow
- Hunt for crowns in the core maps
- Repeat
Map Scan
Go into the map and press Y/Triangle to open the World Map. From there, hover over each zone and look for the following:
- Meal offerings
- An Emergence for Rarity 6 Special Items
- Tempered Apex Predators
- Rewards that contain monster gems or other targeted rewards
In zones containing Emergence events that you still need, open the Filter Icons list (D-Pad Right), select an emergence node, and press RS/R3 to set it as a waypoint. Go there and collect the special item.
If you spot any hunts that you want to save, fast travel to the zone and add it as an investigation for later. Alternatively, you can save the investigation and begin a field survey. This will allow you to hunt it now and 3 additional times later, letting you earn the rewards 4 times or post it in a lobby for other players to earn the crowns.
Crown Hunting
Spend most of your time in Wounded Hollow. All monsters except the apex predators will eventually spawn in here and you can check the Forecast to see which are upcoming.
- Save your game before viewing the monster
- Check the monster for a crown
- If doesn’t have a crown:
- Return to title without saving
- Reload into Online Single Player (faster loads & can still call in SOS players)
- Repeat until you find a crowned monster
- Create and investigation in case you fail & start a field survey
- Defeat it and mark it off your list
- Travel to the other maps and check for monsters you are missing
- Check Wounded Hollow’s Forecast again to see if another monster is about to spawn
- If one will spawn soon, wait for it
- Repeat from step #1
- Rest and set the weather to Inclemency (will spawn apex predators) until the next monster on your list appears
- Repeat
Note that traveling to another map and returning is slightly faster than returning to the title. However, it will move the game’s time forward and the monster you are actively hunting will eventually leave. Returning to the title will pause the timer, giving you ample time to find a crown.
Crown spawn rates are very low and it may takes dozens of tries and multiple hours before you get the ones you need to spawn. Be patient. This will go much faster if you have any friends who save out investigations from their maps as well.
Apex Predator & Guardian Crowns
Use the same technique to hunt apex predators and guardian monsters (in Wyveria) for their crowns. Rest on their map and change the weather to Inclemency. This will save the game for you. Then use your binoculars to check for crowns. If there is no crown, return to title without saving, and reload. Since these hunts will take place in larger maps, utilize camps to speed up reaching the monster’s location.
Another useful method for hunting apex predator crowns is to go into the SOS Flare Quests search and specify the following:
- Target: [monster you still need either tempered or not]
- Quest Difficulty: High Rank
- Quest Type: Investigations
Look for quests that are at least 4 minutes in with at least 2 players. You can quickly jump in, help finish the hunt, get an apex predator hunt completed, and potentially earn a missing crown.
Achievement/Trophy Cleanup
Join any multiplayer lobby with 50+ players. Join quests that are hunting your remaining apex predators or tempered monsters. Repeat the process if you still need more hunts for Hunter Rank 100.
Emergence Events
The following emergence events contain Rarity 6 Special Items. You will need to collect 1 of each. Track your progress in the View/Sell Items menu. Tab over to Special Items/Other and look for Rarity 6 special items.
- Great Windward Aloe – Great Windward Aloe Emergence
- Thundering Fulgurite – Thundering Fulgurite Emergence
- Eternal Scarlet Amber – Colossal Amber Emergence in Scarlet Forest
- Queensbloom Pollen – Search for Queen Rafflesia in Scarlet Forest
- Bulky Treasure – Bountiful Treasure Emergence in Scarlet Forest
- Antimite Mass – Antimite Emergence
- Large Goldenscale Vase – Remarkable Relic Emergence
- Time-honed Wylk Gem – Wylky Crystal Outcrop Emergence
- Genesis Opal – Magnificent Fossil Emergence
You can view when an emergence will appear by going to the Environment Overview screen and pressing LB/L1 to switch to the Forecast tab. Scroll down with the Right Stick to see if an emergence you’re looking for is coming up. Once you see it, do not rest. You need to stay in the region until it activates. If you don’t see any emergences, rest until the next morning.
