Welcome to the Black Myth Wukong Venomous Armguards guide. This guide will walk through how to unlock one of the hardest to find pieces of armor: the Venomous Armguards.

Venomous Armguards
The Venomous Armguards are the easiest armor pieces in Black Myth Wukong to miss. You can only unlock them during the first encounter with the Venom Daoist in Webbed Hollow of chapter 4.
Location
From the Upper Hollow shrine, take the path on the right and hug the left edge. You will reach a spot where wooden boards show there is a path down. Follow it down and continue to hug the left wall. After running up a rotating slope and up some stairs, the Pool of Shattered Jade shrine will be on the right, just after a small pond with a meditation spot.
Activate the shrine, then head up the path to the right of the shrine. This will lead to an optional boss: Venom Daoist. This is the first of two fights with this boss and is the only one where you can earn the Venomous Armguards. If you kill the boss without unlocking the armguards, you will need to wait until New Game+ for another attempt.
Venom Daoist Fight
In order to obtain the Venomous Armguards, you need to cut off 4 of the Venom Daoist’s arms during the first encounter. You need to only attack the boss from behind. Attacking from the front will lower his health too far and will cost you the armguards.
The best way to do this is by casting Immobilize on the boss.
Then, run around behind and attack until an arm pops off.
Run around and dodge attacks until the spell comes off cooldown. Rinse and repeat until you only see 4 arms left on the Venom Daoist.
Once that happens, you’re free to finish off the boss and the Venom Armguards will unlock after the cutscene.
