Welcome to the Atomfall unlock all endings walkthrough. This guide covers how to unlock all 6 endings for the game including the points of no return and how to efficiently unlock them all.
Refer to the Atomfall Achievements & Trophies Guide for details on all other achievements/trophies.
Ending Requirements
- Dr. Garrow: Collect a sample from Oberon without destroying it.
- Joyce Tanner: Collect a sample from Oberon and destroy it with poison or explosives. Poison will add an extra step before extraction.
- Mother Jago: Help Oberon to grow.
- Captain Sims: Destroy Oberon with explosives. Poison appears to cause a bug.
- Dr. Holder: Destroy Oberon with Poison.
- Voice on the Phone: Destroy Oberon with poison or explosives.
As you can see, there are overlapping objectives between some of the extraction quests. For example, you can use poison on Oberon and complete Dr. Holder and the voice’s ending quests in rapid succession.
How to Unlock All Endings
Setup
Start the game with any difficulty that matches your preferred playstyle. There are no achievements or trophies tied to difficulty and you may adjust it at any time in the options menu.
Starting the Questlines
- Voice on the Phone: Answer the phone when you hear it ring.
- Captain Sims: Meet him in the Village Hall of Wyndham Village.
- Dr. Garrow: Free her from prison in Skethermoor during Captain Sims’ quest and she will relocate to the Central Processor.
- Joyce Tanner: She will appear in the office in Charlie after it is activated and you re-enter the Interchange.
- Mother Jago: Meet her in northern Casterfell Woods.
- Dr. Holder: After entering Medical in the Interchange, find the cellar key in the alcove on the right. Then use it in the basement of the church.
Points of No Return
The following mission objectives will result in negating certain endings. These should be saved until you are ready to tackle 5 of the 6 endings back-to-back.
- Casterfell Dam Data Store – Dr. Garrow and Joyce Tanner want you to use a different command on the computer. Choosing to fill Dr. Garrow’s request with GEN ERA will not negate Joyce’s mission, but using GEN MOV will end Dr. Garrow’s questline. When you return to Joyce Tanner, choose the Honest dialog options to smooth over the conversation.
- Dr. Holder – Don’t tell Dr. Holder where to find Dr. Garrow until you are ready to branch the story.
Note that freeing Dr. Garrow from prison is not a point of no return. You can convince Captain Sims that she did it on her own and offer the information on her device to smooth the message.
Unlock 5 Endings
- Inside the dam, enter GEN ERA in the computer.
- Return to Joyce Tanner and choose the Honest dialog options.
- Save in Dr. Holder’s room before telling him where to find Dr. Garrow.
- Tell Dr. Holder where Dr. Garrow is.
- Go to the dig site and enable all explosives and sprinklers.
- Save at the canister insertion terminal.
- Insert the poison and activate the sprinklers.
- Return to the Central Processor and create another save.
- Complete Dr. Holder’s quest.
- Reload the save in the Central Processor.
- Complete the voice’s quest.
- Reload the save at the canister insertion terminal.
- Insert the nutrient canister and activate the sprinklers.
- Complete Mother Jago’s quest.
- Reload the save in Dr. Holder’s room.
- Go to the dig site, enable the explosives, and collect a sample.
- Save the game after collecting the sample.
- Complete Dr. Garrow’s quest.
- Reload the save and activate the self destruct sequence.
- Complete Joyce Tanner’s quest.
Speed Run
Now that you have the first 5 endings out of the way, let’s focus on the last one for Captain Sims and combine it with 2 other achievements/trophies.
