Welcome to the Final Fantasy XVI Chronolith locations guide. This guide will show where to find all 7 Eikon Chronolith trials needed for the Trial Run and For the Hoard trophies.
There are 7 Chronolith trials, 1 for each of the Eikons/elements. Before starting the Chronolith trials, you will want to equip Gotterdammerung, the Ring of Timely Evasion, and the Ring of Timely Strikes (helps maintain combos for bonus time). The Ring of Timely Strikes may be removed for Odin’s Trial by Darkness, but leaving it on may help keep the timer from running out.
Before beginning each trial, make sure you max out all abilities for the given Eikon since you will only be given 2 abilities per stage from that Eikon’s tree. Each trial is made up of 4 stages. The first 3 contain 3 waves of enemies each. The final stage is a mini-boss battle.
The Trial Run trophy will be awarded after defeating the first boss of your first trial. Completing all 7 trials will give you a Curiosity needed for the For the Hoard trophy.

Trial by Fire
Eikon: Phoenix
Location: Rosaria – Martha’s Rest
Reward: The Favor of Fire (increases Flames of Rebirth damage by 8%)
Trial by Wind
Eikon: Garuda
Location: Dhalmekian Republic – Krozjit Echoes
Reward: The Will of Wind (increases Aerial Blast damage by 12%)
Trial by Earth
Eikon: Titan
Location: Dhalmekian Republic – Velkroy Desert
Reward: The Favor of Earth (increases Earthen Fury damage by 7%)
Trial by Thunder
Eikon: Ramuh
Location: Sanbreque – Caer Norvent River Gate
Reward: The Favor of Lightning (increases Judgement Bolt damage by 6%)
Trial by Light
Eikon: Bahamut
Location: Sanbreque – Northreach
Reward: The Favor of Light (increases Gigaflare damage by 5%)
Trial by Ice
Eikon: Shiva
Location: Waloed – Eistla
Reward: The Will of Ice (increases Diamond Dust damage by 10%)
Trial by Darkness
Eikon: Odin
Location: Waloed – Vindargraes
Reward: The Will of Darkness (increases Dancing Steel damage by 20%)
