Welcome to the EVERSPACE 2 all shadow creature locations guide. This guide shows where to find all 10 shadow creatures and how to pair them up.
There are 5 sets of 2 shadow creatures spread throughout the Khait Nebula and Khione Systems. When you enter a region with a shadow creature, locate one of the two creatures as shown below. Then, stick to the shadows as much as possible while working your way to the 2nd creature. When you need to cross an open gap, activate your thruster to shorten the exposure to light. Be aware that shadow creatures will resist your movements, making it frustrating at times to get them to the end goal.

Khosh Orbit
Travel to one end of the large skeleton in the Khosh Orbit region to grab a shadow creature. It’s recommended that you fly a small ship through the skeleton.
Ancient Citadel
When you enter the Ancient Citadel region, locate the large structure near the top of the area and work your way below to the opposite end. Once there, look for a large crystal formation with one of the shadow creatures hiding out. Then, follow the marker to the other creature while sticking to the shadows.
Athorian Fault
Once you enter the Athorian Fault, fly to and face the stone structure in the middle of the region. Next, turn right and look down slightly to find a shadow creature under the ledge of an asteroid. Then, carry the creature to the opposite side of the structure, through the back of the asteroid, up, and then back to the front of the asteroid to find its companion.
Athor I
Travel to one end of the large skeleton in the Ahtor I region to grab a shadow creature. It’s recommended that you fly a small ship through the skeleton.
Inner Flare Zone
Warning: The Inner Flare Zone is not optimized for performance and will need all graphical settings disabled or turned to their lowest setting.
Once you’re able to navigate, travel to the old mining rig and fly up from there following the green challenge marker to the creature. Next, stay behind the large, glacial sheets and work your way down and counter-clockwise around the sun. When you reach the next area with a green glow, there will be a path leading closer to the sun and the shadow creature’s companion.
Take your time, but expect this will not be finished on your 1st try.
