Necrotic Laboratory Brain Puzzle
The developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 designed most puzzles so that they may be completed in multiple ways. Thus, giving the players more freedom in how they approach situations. This guide represents one method that is confirmed to unlock the door.
After defeating Ketheric Thorm on the roof of Moonrise Towers in Act 2, interact with the open tower in the northeast corner of the roof and enter the Mind Flayer Colony. Once there, make your way to the southeast corner, the Necrotic Laboratory and clear out the enemies.
Then, jump across a few platforms and interact with the console to start the puzzle. The goal is to connect like regions of the brain: speech to speech, memory to memory, etc. Each node can only be used once. Start by clicking on a brain region, like speech, then trace a path to the speech node on the other side.
The above image shows the final solution with the door on the left side and the console on the right. Repeat the process for all regions to solve the puzzle and collect the Blade of Oppressed Souls longsword.
