Welcome to the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 dataslates locations guide. This guide covers where to find all 35 dataslates hidden in campaign and operations missions at launch.
Note: If you miss any dataslates during your campaign playthrough, you can reload the mission, collect the item, and quit. All dataslates listed in this guide are in the order they show up in the pause menu.

Kadaku Dataslates
Campaign: Skyfire
#1 – Stormtalon Crash, Kadaku
Objective: Make Your Way Through the Swamp
Location: From the weapon cache, head through the arch on the left and watch for 2 exploding flowers. Collect the dataslate in the area behind them.
#2 – Admission of Desertion
Objective: Make Your Way Through the Swamp
Location: After dropping down off a broken bridge, head up the path on the left. As you approach the watch tower at the top of the hill, go straight ahead (to the left of the tower) and drop off the hill. Grab the dataslate directly in front of you.
#3 – Anti-Tyranid Offensive, Kadaku
Objective: Navigate Through the Base
Location: As you enter the closed door leading into the base, hug the left wall. After ascending a staircase, collect the dataslate at the top.
#4 – Desired Purgation of Data
Objective: Navigate Through the Base
Location: As you enter the tower with the elevator, don’t use the elevator yet. Go around the elevator on the right and grab the dataslate.
Operation 01: Inferno
#5 – Amelioration of Improper Ordnance Storage
Objective: Reach the Astra Militarum Camp
Location: While working through the jungle on the main path at the start of the mission, you will see a long bridge high above you. Before reaching the bridge, hug the right wall and look for the entrance to a bunker containing the dataslate.
#6 – Admiration of Promethium
Objective: Advance to the Observation Platform
Location: After opening the door into the first large area of this objective, hug the left wall until you go up a long ramp. At the top, continue hugging the left side and collect the dataslate behind a pillar with a “1” on it.
Campaign: Severance
#7 – Tyranid Attack, Designation: Rippers, Kadaku
Objective: Reach the Adeptus Mechanicus Facility
Location: After cross the bridge and entering the large sealed door, don’t take the elevator. Collect the dataslate directly ahead, to the left of the elevator.
#8 – Conflict, Adeptus Astartes/Tyranid, Kadaku
Objective: Locate the Transmitter
Location: When you reach a campsite, take the main path on the right and turn left leading to a location above the site. Collect the dataslate.
#9 – Lamentation for Sacred Machines
Objective: Locate the Transmitter
Location: After activating the console, go through the doorway on the right and hug the right wall. Find the dataslate near a large fan.
#10 – Summary, Tyranid Invation, Kadaku
Objective: Reach the Crash Site
Location: After acquiring the jump pack, continue on the main path until you pass a weapon cache and enter a cave. Immediately after entering the cave, jump to the upper-left ledge and collect the dataslate.

Campaign: Machinus Divinitus
#11 – Attempted Liturgy for Burnt Capacitor
Objective: Proceed to the Elevator Room
Location: After extending the bridge, cross it and turn left. Find the dataslate on the rooftop to the left.
#12 – Termination: 101010-S
Objective: Proceed to the Databanks
Location: Follow the main path through the Sector D3 doorway. At the first junction, turn right, then right, and head left into the door labeled Sector D4. Grab the dataslate next to a body inside.
#13 – Improper Command
Objective: Proceed to the Databanks
Location: While navigating a set of wide platforms in a large corridor, you will go up a ramp and into a doorway just after a number 5 on the wall. Don’t follow the mission objective down the left hall. Instead, continue straight and collect the dataslate.
Operation 06: Ballistic Engine
#14: Missing Servo-Hauler
Objective: Proceed to the Militarium Depot
Location: As you enter a sealed doorway with paths looping around in both directions, hug the right wall. Grab the dataslate in the side chamber.
#15: War Preparation, Avarax
Objective: Advance to the Train
Location: After clearing the freight way, exit the control room and drop down to the large area below. Then, hug the left wall and collect the dataslate to the left of a tank.
Campaign: Servant of the Machine
#16 – Cannon Maintenance, 1.002.81
Objective: Advance to the Neurothropes Lotus
Location: As soon as you get off the elevator, hug the left wall and go behind the elevator shaft. Collect the dataslate.
#17 – Tithe Collection, Avarax
Objective: Advance to the Neurothropes Lotus
Location: When you reach the area where you can see a large angel statue under a blue-covered dome, head down the path, but don’t go through the next door. Grab the dataslate just to the right of the opening.
Operation 02: Decapitation
#18 – Final Sermon
Objective: Proceed to the Bridge Tower
Location: Inside the massive cathedral, to all the way to the top of the stairs and head out the balcony on the left. Collect the dataslate on the left side of the balcony.
#19 – Bridge Construction, Overseer Commentary
Objective: Pursue the Hive Tyrant
Location: Follow the boss into the tunnels until you reach a large chamber. Hug the right wall and enter a side area with the dataslate.
Operation 03: Vox Liberatis
#20 – Creation of Daemonhost, I
Objective: Find a Way to Take Down the Warp Shielding
Location: After getting off the elevator, cross the bridge and follow the path down the ramp on the right. Then, hug the left wall and climb a set of stairs to reach the dataslate.
#21 – Creation of Daemonhost, II
Objective: Restore the Elevator Shielding
Location: After taking the large elevator down, collect the dataslate on a table to the right of the doorway.
Campaign: Voidsong
#22 – Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica, 2287.8
Objective: Restore Power to the Door
Location: Before heading up the stairs to restore power to the door, turn left and follow the path to another dataslate.
#23 – Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica, 2288.2
Objective: Advance to the Relay Entrance
Location: After a sequence outside, you will open a large set of doors. After entering the area, use the jump pack to reach a ledge on the right side for the dataslate. The ledge is just behind the second weapon cache of the mission.
#24 – Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica, 2288.5
Objective: Transmit a Message to Lord Calgar
Location: After getting off the elevator move forward toward the NPCs with flamethrowers. Make a U-turn to the right at the bottom of the stairs and collect the dataslate.
Demerium Dataslates
Operation 04: Reliquary
#25 – Servitor Greeting, Demerium
Objective: Search Servitors’ Bodies for a Fusion Core
Location: From the console with the main lock (you will return here multiple times), turn left and collect the dataslate on the balcony above.
#26 – Heretic Attack, Demerium
Objective: Proceed to the Warp Beacon
Location: While avoiding the boss attacks in the open areas, work your way to the large tower as part of the main path. Once inside, hug the right wall and grab the dataslate on the balcony outside before ascending the tower.
Operation 05: Fall of Atreus
#27 – Unauthorised Override Attempt
Objective: Proceed to the Mechanicus Compound
Location: After completing the objective to Clear the Passage, drop down to the weapon cache below. Then, turn around and collect the dataslate in the back of the room.
#28 – Status: Battle Barge, Sword of Atreus
Objective: Proceed to the Mechanicus Compound
Location: Ascend the refinery about 2/3 of the way up while hugging the left (inner) side. Take a branching path on the left and find the dataslate.
Campaign: Dawn’s Descent
#29 – Effects of Noctilith Exposure
Objective: Advance to the Cathedral
Location: While battling enemies in a large area with floating islands, a new jump location will appear. Follow it up the path to a wall with statues in front of it. Instead of jumping over the wall, turn left and grab the nearby dataslate.
#30 – Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 8.6
Objective: Advance to the Mechanicus Facility
Location: As you enter another large graveyard at the top of a hill with a weapon cache, hug the left wall as you enter the graveyard. Collect the next dataslate along that path.
#31 – Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 8.7
Objective: Explore the Ruins
Location: After fighting a Lesser Sorcerer and crushing a yellow sphere to break a magical seal, head through the doorway. Halfway up the next set of stairs, turn left and find a dataslate.
#32 – Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 9.9
Objective: Advance to the Aurora
Location: Move a large metalic barrier out of the way and fight a group of enemies in an arena. Then, head up the hill in the back-right of the arena, through a blue archway, and collect the dataslate on the right.
Campaign: Bellum Sempiternus
#33 – Effects of Warp Exposure
Objective: Seek Out the 2nd Company Position
Location: When you reach a large outdoor area with soldiers who are confused, follow the path until you drop down through a doorway with a large X next to it. Then, hug the left side until you reach the dataslate in the back-left corner.
#34 – Burial, Adeptus Astartes, Salamander Chapter
Objective: Advance to the Second Force
Location: When you enter a burial chamber with a sarcophagus in the middle, continue behind the pillars and collect the dataslate.
#35 – Amount of Deceased on Demerium
Objective: Advance to the Obelisk
Location: As you approach the large enemy in the distance, you will pass through 2 side chambers on the left with glowing blue doorways. When you enter the 2nd chamber, hug the right wall and find the final campaign dataslate.
