Recommended Playthrough
You will need a minimum of 10 playthroughs inside Valhalla. Many of the early playthroughs will be cut short as the story unfolds. After completing the final chapter, a final challenge will be available inside the maze just before ascending to Tyr on one last run.
- Die early during your first playthrough inside Valhalla. You will need to progress the story with the first death.
- Play through Valhalla as far as the game will let you 6 times. Each time, you will continue moving the story forward.
- Once you have defeated Tyr 4x, you can complete all 3 challenge gates inside the maze, and collect 3 keys at the start of Valhalla.
General Tips
- Change up which weapon you choose in the 1st room to access each of the areas in the DLC and unlock Runic Glyphs.
- Upgrade Strength and Defense early at the Tablet of Reflection (red tablet) under Stats.
- Keep track of your active Labors under Goals – Labors and try to modify how you approach encounters to unlock the active labors.
- Focus on a few Mastery quests during each playthrough (tracked under Goals – Mastery).

Fight at the Forum
Participate in a fight at The Forum arena
After defeating Tyr a total of 4x, there will be 3 gates available in the maze of the arena (just before ascending the light shaft to Tyr’s area). Each of the gates will unlock in order, starting with the gate on the right side of the arena unlocking after defeating Tyr 2x. Next, move to the left side for the 2nd gate (unlocks after defeating Tyr 3x and finishing the 1st gate). Finally, the 3rd gate is available (after defeating Tyr 4x and finishing the 2nd gate) on the upper level (accessed by climbing the path adjacent to the central light shaft leading to Tyr pictured below). Once all 3 gateway battles are clear, the trophy will unlock.

Easy Come, Easy Go
Acquire more than 15,000 Fleeting Echoes on a single attempt
While working on the 3 bonus battle gates for Fight at the Forum, make sure you complete 3 standard encounters in the maze. Doing so will increase your reward multiplier and you will easily earn 15k Fleeting Echoes by the end of the final fight in the 3rd gate.

Complete 9 Mastery Quests
Try to work on a few mastery quests during each playthrough. Progress is tracked by pressing Touchpad – Goals – Mastery. The easiest quests are listed below. Once you complete 9 total master quests, the trophy will pop.
- Greek Labyrinth: Open 9 chests in the courtyard before the maze where the light shaft is that leads to Tyr.
- Permanent Upgrade: Trade for 15 permanent upgrades at The Shore.
- Rage I-III: Complete encounters in each of the 3 primary regions with each of the Spartan Rage options (selected from the pillar on the right before starting a run).
- Runic Attack Glyphs (Light/Heavy for each Weapon): You will be presented with random choices in certain chests. Track which glyphs you are missing in the menu. In most cases the offered glyphs will match the weapon chosen at the start of the run.
- Shield I-II: Complete encounters in each of the 3 primary regions with each of the shield options (selected from the pillar on the right before starting a run).
- Travel: Go through doors with symbols each of the 7 reward categories. Track which ones you are missing so you don’t repeat unnecessarily.
You Again?
Find all 3 Boat Captain Keys
After picking up the statue of Pandora on run 7+, you can start collecting keys in front of a painting of Kratos in the 1st room of Valhalla during runs 8-10+. If you have all other trophies, go ahead and let yourself die after collecting a key, so you can grab the next. Once you have a total of 3 keys, the trophy will unlock.
